KOVARA

Bound by the will of the Gryazin Trifecta, Ashaa has spent years watching the summer festival from the edges, barred from the competition despite being one of the High District’s most favored contenders. For others, victory has meant status, influence, even freedom. For Ashaa, it has always meant the possibility of living beyond the Order that raised her.

This year, the Trifecta finally allows her to compete.

Ashaa enters the festival carrying years of discipline with her, along with a hunger for blood, flesh, and bone she has learned to keep under control. To earn the freedom she wants, she must gain favor across the five outlying districts and the city at their center, all while proving she deserves the chance she has been denied for so long.

Then a devilishly handsome stranger crosses her path and begins testing the boundaries she has spent her life building. He does not fear what Ashaa is. Worse, he seems interested in everything she has learned to restrain.

For the first time, freedom is close enough to reach. Ashaa only has to decide whether she wants the life she fought for, or the version of herself someone else is determined to drag into the open.
